September Goal

My goal for September is to bind two quilts.  These have both been waiting since May while I worked on a different project.

I've been busy over the last week with a few king-sized quilts for clients.  Here are a few sneak peeks.

I'm plugging along with my Water Drop quilt for Maeberry Square's QAL.  My design wall has my For the love of geese quilt on it, my daughter's Water Drop quilt pieces are on the floor, and my quilt doesn't have anywhere to go.  It's hanging on the long arm rails right now!  I was planning to really work at this and get it all pieced yesterday.  That didn't happen at all.  I didn't even get into my sewing room until after dinner, when I attended a guild meeting via Zoom.  Maybe today I'll have better luck.
I'm also looking forward to the release of the next clue for the Morewood Mystery quilt hosted by Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs.  It releases tomorrow.

I'm still contemplating whether I'm going to join in with Fat Quarter Shop's Sewcialites block of the week program.  One of the guilds I'm in is celebrating their Ruby anniversary and are also doing a block of the month.  A friend and I will be hosting a block of the month in 2021 for another guild I'm in.  I'm great at starting projects, not so great at finishing. How many of these should I actually participate in?  How many can I actually finish?

I got some good news this week--my IntelliQuilter is almost ready.  I paid yesterday and am hoping for delivery by the end of next week.  I cannot wait to be back in full swing with my quilting business.  I've missed the robotics mightily this summer while I've switched machines and systems.

Are you a long arm quilter who uses robotics?  Do you have a business or are you thinking about it?  Would you like to help your business grow while receiving support, business advice, free monthly pantographs, a business directory listing, and access to a like-minded community?  The Longarm League might be for you. I have been a member since the very beginning and I have learned so much and enjoyed the camaraderie. The next enrollment period is September 7 - 9.  Click here to find out more.  {Affiliate link.}

  1. I love the quilting you did on your goal quilts. Very pretty. Good luck on getting the binding finished. I think a lot of us are starters..... and not so good at 'finishing'!

  2. Beautiful quilts! Maybe you should let yourself join one program for every quilt you finish?

  4. I had a binding marathon over the long weekend and it felt so good to complete them all. Love your 2 quilts by the way. So happy that you will finally receive your IntelliQuilter. For the most part the year has flown by, not so much when you are eagerly awaiting a new toy. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down, hope all is well with you.
