June One Monthly Goal

What will be your goal this month?

New to One Monthly Goal?  Welcome!  To join, share a photo of your project plus some words about what you want to accomplish in a blog post or Instagram post and add that photo to the link up.  Return at the end of the month and share your results.  (Results link up opens for the last 7 days of the month.)

Patty at Elm Street Quilts and I are co-hosting  One Monthly Goal. You can link up at either of our blogs and your project will show in the same link party!

I have several choices to pick from this month, including the Grassy Creek borders, the Women's Voices sashing, the setting for the Jamestown quilt, quilting either the strawberry quilt or Sunshowers #1, or going off the wall and starting something new.

Possibilities

I'm still feeling motivated to finish up old projects, so I think completing the setting for the Women's Voices is probably the best choice, simply because I don't really want to work on it. Having the OMG deadline will help motivate me to get it done.

Also, this really makes me think about whether all old projects require finishing. Do you see it through or just Marie Kondo it and thank it for its service before passing it along?

If I get this one done quickly, then I'll move on to another project from the list above. Oh, and I will also need to be on the lookout for a suitable backing and binding for the Women's Voices. Although I don't prefer wide backs, I feel like a higher-quality muslin wide back would be a good fit for this project. We'll see, and I'll try to update with my choice in the finish link up post.

The One Monthly Goal accomplishment link up will be available on June 24.  Make sure you add a link to this OMG post so others can find the OMG link up from your blog--just paste this link into your post:

  2. Love seeing the photos of your clematis. We used to have several beautiful ones in Pennsylvania but cannot grow them where we live now.
I choose to finish it before sending it on. It broadens the options for where it gets sent on to.
