Let's set a goal for the month.
New to One Monthly Goal? Welcome! To join, share a photo of your project plus some words about what you want to accomplish in a blog post or Instagram post and add that photo to the link up. Return at the end of the month and share your results. (Results link up opens for the last 7 days of the month.)
My goal for this month is to turn this into a quilt top.
I call this my Batesville quilt, but its real name is Jamestown Block of the Month. It is a pattern by Marti Michell. I collected all the blocks when I went on a shop hop in 2007 when I lived in Batesville, hence the name. I recently looked up the shops that were included. Only about half remain in business.
I won't be following the included setting instructions because my pieces don't have the correct measurements and it would be a lot of work to recalculate all the border math for a project I'm not that interested in. There were supposed to be four more borders after the sashing border.
I don't have a firm plan in mind as to how I will do the borders, though I think I know what I'm going to do with the finished quilt.
This is the last of my baker's dozen UFO projects for this year's PHD program.
Now it's your turn to link up. The link up will remain open through November 7.
The One Monthly Goal accomplishment link up will be available on November 24. Make sure you add a link to this OMG post so others can find the OMG link up from your blog--just paste this link into your post:
