December One Monthly Goal

 We've made it to December!

New to One Monthly Goal?  Welcome!  To join, share a photo of your project plus some words about what you want to accomplish in a blog post or Instagram post and add that photo to the link up.  Return at the end of the month and share your results.  (Results link up opens for the last 7 days of the month.)

I have several projects I'd like to move forward this month. I really want to work on my dress form. I need to make and attach bias binding to a quilted sweatshirt jacket. I need to sew together all the Log Cabin Star blocks from last month. And everyone knows I have a very lengthy UFO list besides these few projects.

The project I am most motivated to work on this month is my Grassy Creek border pieces. I'm about halfway so far--all of the bigger ones that lean one way are done. My goal will be to finish all of the opposite leaning units plus the corner units. If I can get all the border pieces done, then maybe I can also get them assembled and onto the quilt, get the top quilted and bound, and then enter it in the IHQS at the end of February.

Now it's your turn to set a goal.

The One Monthly Goal accomplishment link up will be available on December 25.  Make sure you add a link to this OMG post so others can find the OMG link up from your blog--just paste this link into your post:

  2. I'd love to hear how the binding goes on your sweatshirt. I'll have to add binding to my Elemental Coat when I make it.

    1. I'll try to remember to take pictures as I go. It will probably be a week or two before I get to it.

  3. I recognized those units from Grassy Creek even before I read the rest of your post. I recall goofing and making the whole batch in the same direction (instead of half one way and half the other), so I have a stack of leftover units waiting for an opportune time.

  4. Hi Anne-Marie, good luck with your OMG! Sometimes you need to get a project advanced enough that the motivation is there to finish it up, especially for an event. Thanks for the party :-)
